This is some fanart of Perceptor from the Transformers cartoon, movie, and comics. He is one of my favorite characters, and I plan on getting this image as a tattoo at some point in the future. Lately, I have been wanting to draw characters traditionally depicted or assumed to be male in poses originally used in pin art work from the 1940s-1950s. The contrast between the maleness of the character and the femininity of the pose is something I enjoy thinking about.

Perceptor was voiced by Paul Eiding in the cartoon and movie. Perceptor is a scientist whose alternate mode is a microscope, though sometimes he is also depicted as transforming into something that resembles a tank. He is generally a pacifist, though he is quite skilled as a marksman or sniper.

This image was sketched on medium tooth sketchbook paper, scanned, and cleaned up and colored in GIMP. It was completed on 3/15/17. The artwork itself is copyright to D.E.A. Grant, while Perceptor and the Transformers are copyright to Hasbro and Takara.
