One of the most iconic characters in all of the Transformers franchises is Optimus Prime. He has appeared in every continuity to date, from the original 1984 cartoon to the 2015/2016 Robots In Disguise. He represents, at his most basic, the true hero, with his selflessness, his abilities as a fighter, and his strong sense of justice. “Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.” is an ideal he is willing to (and in several series, has) die for.

The original drawing was sketched on sketch paper, cleaned up with tracing paper, scanned, and then cleaned up further and colored in GIMP. It was completed on 4/12/2017. The artwork itself is copyright to D.E.A. Grant, while Optimus Prime and the Transformers franchise are copyright to Hasbro and Takara.
